I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time (More than a year)

Pros

The best part about the club was the great colleagues and employees with lots of energy. In addition, the management is very helpful and approachable. If you enjoy meeting new people (usually who are energized and into meeting fitness goals), then it's a great place to work

Cons

Lots of cold calling, minimum wage, and commission is hard to achieve in smaller clubs

I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, let me balance school with the job

    Cons

Upper management positions are replaced almost monthly if a club is below average.

    Advice to Management

give your sales reps some bonus, credit, anything to show that they bring in the money to your clubs. They dont try if you give them nothing for an hourly job.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people you work with are generally nice and easy going. Work is easy and nothing to technical.

    Cons

Some employees are a pain, clients can be a major pain as well. When ordering needed parts to repair equipment and building, be prepared for orders to be deferred and/or denied by corporate quite often making the job difficult and stressful trying to explain to immediate manager and constant questioning by clients.

    Advice to Management

Micromanagement and putting fear into your employees is not a way to build a company and it's morale to make a "better' company.
