I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Decent starting pay, many opportunities to move up, learn a lot in sale tactics.

Cons

Although its motto is to care solely about the member at many times it can be "too salesy"

Advice to Management

Connect more with your employers rather than focusing solely on numbers.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1) Friendly co-workers and laid back work environment
    2) Gym environment, easy to get workouts in
    3) Meet a lot of people

    Cons

    1) 8-12 hour days that you do not get paid for every hour you are there, only hours you are 2) doing work beneficial to the company (aka with a client)
Only allowed 5 hours per week to be doing admin, client program design, lead generation, etc...
    3) Required to work at least one day on the weekend
    4) Promised bonuses, but failing economy doesn't allow for a bonus to be hit
    5) Confusing pay structure... % for sales, base hourly rate, % of hourly rate per client

    Advice to Management

Don't guarantee somebody perks of a job with 100% assurance of being promoted and then go back on your word and neither of those happen.

    I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time

    Pros

If you're in to working out, you get a free membership. Also good for building social connections to a variety of people. Also pretty flexible scheduling below the manager level.

    Cons

Poor compensation. They expect employees not to stay for long and be easily replaceable so they're not concerned with keeping talent.
