I worked at 24 Seven Talent as a contractor (Less than a year)

Pros

Really engaging and strong directional leadership enabled teams to deliver. Great atmosphere with plenty of laughter and team spirit made the environment a good one to work in even during the tough days

Cons

As with all recruitment jobs the hours are long and the frustrations with clients and candidates always apparent, but the rewards made it all worthwhile

Advice to Management

Grow the business, Europe a real opportunity but you need to localise efforts

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    1. Great commission structure for recruiters and business development managers
    2. Strong database of clients and candidates
    3. Good onboarding process
    4. Strong social media presence and being involved in industry events

    Cons

    1. Let more tenured employees bend the rules in their favor
    2. Promoting employees into management roles that don't have the experience or the maturity to lead and set a good example
    3. Fighting about client accounts
    4. Decent amount of employee turnover and lack of employee retention
    5. Management setting unrealistic goals for both recruiters and business development managers without knowing enough about the market they are managing

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. They see what is going on in their backyard, they know what is going on. Don't set an unrealistic quota that can't be attained by the employees as it leads to failure. Don't threaten employees when goals are not met. We all know this is a sales driven environment, but help motivate, don't discourage. Employees get burned out and become disgruntled and unmotivated. Make better hiring decisions. Don't promote internal employees into management roles if they lack any kind of management skills. There is too much internal fighting amongst each other. There is a lot of people being mistreated. Open your eyes and listen to your employees. How can you let employees belittle each other and fight over accounts? It's ridiculous.
