I worked at A. Duie Pyle part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great pay, and get to drive a forklift. Managers arent really on your ass to get stuff done unless your a good worker. In this case, you can be under pressure and you wonder why you get paid the same as someone else who is doing much less work

Cons

Management begs you to stay late every night. You cant come in earlier to leave earlier. The supervisors work their balls off...tons of hours but only get paid for 40 hrs...

Advice to Management

When you have the annual meetings, how about you just take questions instead of having pre-selected questions you have already chosen to answer. The average workers have much more important and direct questions they would love to ask and confront the management about.

    Pros

    It is consistant, dedicated work. The pay is fair and the benefits are good.

    Cons

    Management seems to be hired from outside the company making a lot more than other management. They always preach to "treat others as you would want to be treated" but is it more like
    "do as I say, not as I do." Employees are reminded often how "people costs" is extreamly high and how the company has to manage it, although senior management makes a very healthy bonuses and salary. Moral is at a very low level. The company needs to focus on its "People" and remember that is what Pyle People loved the most at one time.

    Advice to Management

    Remember Pyle People is what makes the team/company, not all the new highly paid senior management that is coming in and doing a poor job.

    Pros

    Benefits, 401K, nice people, Company is best in class.

    Cons

    Mangement is constantly attempting to change operations to squeese the maximum amount of profit from the company to stay competitive. After your hired, your role changes with out a title change and the work load increases dramatically. Advancement looks bleak.

    Advice to Management

    Not possible, they don't listen.
