I worked at A Place for Mom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work from home, set your own hours, Sean and Sunil were great leaders

    Cons

Turned into a telemarketer sweat shop. Fired all the managers and VP several times. You just were not valued. The top is trying to turn it around, but there is a culture issue. You are told to work and not report your time. Every manager knows when you are making calls and turns a blind eye when it's time to approve the timecard. Cannot meet quota without 80 hour workweek.

    Advice to Management

    Need to value your employees.

I have been working at A Place for Mom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, excellent setting, and good attempts at building a strong and positive corporate culture.

    Cons

Over focused on metrics and short-term goals. No long term vision. No problems sacrificing the companies reputation to make a quick buck.

    Advice to Management

Focus on providing high quality service to both families and partners instead of manipulating both without providing real value. Showing more ethical behavior and providing a real service to clients may hurt in the short term but will help ensure long term sustainable growth. Invest more in employees. There is a very high turnover rate, at least 50% annually for entry level employees. It might make more sense to pay a slightly higher wage to not pay so much in terms of re-training/re-hiring.
