I have been working at ABB full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Rich legacy, good technology and a worldwide presence. For those with talent, it allows you the opportunity to rise & take on senior leadership roles.

Cons

Slow decision making, little infusion of talent from diverse business sectors, poor communication techniques & an inherent inability to go beyong the 'engineering' conglomerate tag.

Advice to Management

The organisation should have an equal balance of young talen and old experience. It should be a conscious decision to allow talent to flourish.

I have been working at ABB full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

You get some of the worlds best industrial experience due to the simple fact of having leading technology in many power and automation products.

    Cons

Unless you are at the right place at the right time, you hardly get rewarded.

    Advice to Management

Value the experience of your own employees.Financial growth of long serving employees is very limited.Doesn't ABB need people with experience in it's own product?
