Pros

As a sales person, ADP is a very good company to work for. While they have high demands, they do take care of their sales people. While there is always a push to sell more, the company does compensate its sales people well and provides a decent work/life balance. It is a very large company so there is a lot of different career opportunities

Cons

From a sales standpoint, they are constantly looking to grow numbers which can lead to high pressure, but that is not much different than any other sales company.

    Pros

    Many departments to move to (used to be easier), you don't necessarily have to have experience in an area - they will train you, many of the employees have been there for a long time, good benefits, great stock plan

    Cons

    Many jobs are being moved to super-centers, which are either out of the country or in low-income areas of the US, many of my direct managers had poor management skills, many of the benefits that were once given to employees have dwindled (but this is pretty much the case in any job)

    Advice to Management

    Support employee growth, have a good attitude - then your employees will have a good attitude

    Pros

    Some good people to work with

    Cons

    The opportunity for growth was stale. There was a lot of favoritism and no plan for people who came to the organization with a degree into client services as a stepping stone to a career with the company. Middle managers had worked their way up and were not looking for growth opportunities which then create a stagnant atmosphere for those who show promise.

    Advice to Management

    Management needs a shake up. There needs to be a clear and definitive succession plan. If managers are not themselves looking for growth opportunities, maybe they need to be the first to go.
