    Pros

Great place to start your career and learn about sales and get incredible exposure to B2B sales. Uncapped commission structure, with a stock purchase plan. Stable company, and leader of its industry

    Cons

Company is slow to adapt to the marketplace. Sales is number 1 criterium assessed when looking for promotions as opposed to other attributes that make you a fit for the position.

    Advice to Management

Take a holistic approach at candidates trying to move to other departments within the organization.

I worked at ADP full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

ADP has fantastic training and is an excellent stepping stone for your sales career. After 2 - 3 years of experience and at least 1 President's Club you can almost write your ticket to any number of higher level sales positions. Income can be good, but is dependent upon your territory (see cons). Benefits and things such as Stock Purchase program are solid.

    Cons

Be very cautious of your market. Your success greatly hinges on your market and your specific territory. While ADP is trying to ease this with the ability to network outside of your assigned territory, you are still dependent on your specific accounts or zip codes. Unfortunately, at ADP it's not necessarily 'the man' but more so 'the land' that determines your success. Client roles and Up Market roles are most likely to succeed on a regular basis. Advancement is possible but again, depends on your market/region and territory.

    Advice to Management

Thin the heard! This can be done through natural attrition. Just don't rehire. If over 70% of reps are under performing, perhaps it's an indication that you have saturated the market. Instead of throwing bodies at it, maybe it's time to throw some original products/services and solutions to the in-house market.
