I have been working at ADP full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Stable company, provides good benefits and 401K, company listens to associates and tries to make changes based on the feedback.

Cons

Management does not get involved in your career developement. I wish they were more enticed to see you advance in your career, especially the young employees that are driven to get ahead.
Tuition reimbursement could be better, $2500 a year for the first 5 years doesn't even cover 1 class per year at most schools, especially if you're trying to get your master's.

I have been working at ADP full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Not much weekend work for an IT organization. Pay if fair..not high but certainly not bad either. Benefits are good.

    Cons

Very unethical treatment of employees. Environment is very unstable with constant threat of job loss. The Company overall is very good but the IT organization is in constant flux with poor senior leadership and no clear direction or goals. Employees are generally very unhappy and are at times treated with little respect or regard to their needs. The general attitude is deal with it or don't let the door hit you walking out. The most experienced technical staff have all left over the last few years due to poor treatment and recognition.

    Advice to Management

My advice is the replace the senior leadership within the VP level down to the director level with leaders that actually care for their employees. Stop managing with 'fear' and actually attempt leading with empowerment and recognition. Look to companies like Apple or Google that treat their staff like human beings.
