Pros

Global Brand image of Aecom is the only benefit for an employee

Cons

No training and development, no recognition and favoritism especially in Transportation Department, very reluctant to adopt and follow well designed Aecom policies.

    Pros

    - Nice office
    - Central location
    - Some good people to work with

    Cons

    - Managers are incompetent, liars and bullies. They would throw you under a bus at a drop of a hat to save their own skin
    - Management team seems to look after each other, even turn a blind eye to the bullying happening around
    - Company helpline is useless
    - A culture where bullst artists are favored and climb up the corporate ladder very fast
    - It's all about what's on the paper when it comes to profits and utilization rather than providing a good service that the Clients paid for. They would rather you sit there and twiddle your thumps and hence not putting your time into their projects than really be productive/ proactive or fix problems that they created in the first place
    - There is no team work, everyone is encouraged to compete with each other (even to stick a knife into someone else back just to get ahead)

    Advice to Management

Bullying culture has become your reputation in the industry!

I worked at AECOM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Looks good on CV and the potential to work on a diverse array of projects within your business line is there.

    Cons

There is no way for feedback from employee to management. All feedback is done via Country Director and in my case, he was a very ineffective, so there was no way to rectify a bad situation. Despite loosing many large tenders, the upper management still didn't try to find out what is the problem at the ground level.

    Advice to Management

Implement 360 feedback system. This is the surest way to have an all-rounded assessment of whether the manager/directors are doing a good job. No use discussing amongst regional leaders on how to plan business recovery if the problem lies in the person leading the business line.
