    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at AIG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

lots of insurance business, job openings galore

    Cons

ole boy network is strong here - lots of deadwood employees who protect each other to the detriment of everyone else - huge tension between the new hires and the old guard. strong resistance to change. shared services are terrible and processes and procedures were ignored for 10-20 years until the company went bankrupt

    Advice to Management

hire from the outside, fire from the inside

  2. "Toxic and chaotic environment"

I worked at AIG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Fairly prestigious insurance giant
    2. Most internal issues were not well-known until the height of the financial crisis

    Cons

Cons (poorly planned and executed initiatives, lack of management sponsorship, poor risk management and integration of acquired companies, lackluster pay, etc.) far outweighed the pros.

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire new talent, consider increasing pay to attract/retain top talent, and improve your efforts to develop a more collaborative culture.
