Pros

Decent company for a long term career with decent befits. Though went through rough times, the new management is great with forward looking attitude. Flexible in terms of work hours and remote work location options.

Cons

Not for creativity and innovation craving folks.

I have been working at AIG full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good place if you cannot find another job.

    Cons

Very Political, hard to transfer or get a new position. Jobs are spoken for then posted. Hiring all incompetent foreigners in the US who do not know how to manage or know the business of Insurance. They treat people terribly. Senior Management is also not versed in the Insurance business and is destroying the company. Not a good place to work since Hank Greenberg left. No raises, only bonus potential which is also cut. The Performance management system is unfair and grueling, a horror. Outsourcing all key functions.

    Advice to Management

Shape up, you are destroying the company. The stockholders are upset they keep losing money. Value the workers and promote those who work hard and know insurance. These operations people you hire do not have a clue. Give the jobs in America to the Americans who bailed you out. Why make India rich.

  2. "Average large corporation atmosphere"
