Nothing. I have been with this company for nearly 7 years. Nothing.
Cons
Where do I even begin? Unfriendly and unreliable. No HR resources. Though the job listing may state you need a Bachelor's Degree, you do not. There have been previous co workers of mine who never finished high school who have been promoted over favoritism. AKIRA is extremely clique and you ARE disposable. Very fake. You know when your friends complain about their jobs and you want to sympathize? If you work here they will be the ones asking you if you are okay because of how mentally straining this job is. This is a backdoor make-shift work environment. Three stores shut down just this past year. There is dog poo everywhere, while the dogs bark while you answer calls. Yes, at first a pet friendly work place seems so exciting. But when dogs are jumping on you barking while you are on a call with a customer and the customer service managers turn their head the fun is over. Also, everyone in this small warehouse in Garfield Park acts superior. This is a fast fashion company just like H&M. But there are many, many employees who have a god complex. Including managers of most departments including customer service. There is no time for even trying to be friendly in this work environment. Everything is militant and sterile. If you think you have a bad job now, I highly discourage you applying here as it is much, much worse.
