No opinion of CEO

I worked at ALDI full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great pay ($75,000) for district managers, company car, credit card, immediate responsibility.

Cons

Extremely conservative and uptight management. People get let go for not being aggressive enough. Worked 80-90 hours a week during store training phase. Was expected to do whatever it took to get it done regardless of hours required.

Advice to Management

Learn that people make mistakes and shouldn't be fired, but coached to improve.

I have been working at ALDI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

everyone is really nice and it's a free gym membership

    Cons

it's hard freaking work, everything falls down to the cashier, you have to stock all groceries, you have to downstack entire pallettes including water pallettes, on some days I have to downstack 400+ 24 packs of water.

    Advice to Management

find a way to broaden your hourly budget, quit worrying about produce / meat loss like it's the end of the world. if you don't have enough and you consistently go out of stock on those products, you will lose your customer base.
