Doesn't Recommend
Positive Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I have been working at ALDI full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Days fly by, even when they are 12-16 hour days.
All major holidays off, although not all paid.
Your 1040 looks nice, until you divide your pay by actual hours worked.

Cons

AS A STORE MANAGER
Unrealistic expectations
Minimal staffing
Extremely physical and demanding
A thankless job

Advice to Management

District manager, let the Store Manager BE the Store Manager. Stop micro managing and maybe throw in a compliment every few months or so. If sales, productivity and store conditions are great, don't stop me from doing my work to point out a dust bunny behind some shelving.

I worked at ALDI full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Pay, benefits. Excellent pay, much more than other companies, but hides the fact that they work you to death and expect the world of you.

    Cons

Everything else. Extremely physical job, regardless of position. No time for breaks in this company.

    Advice to Management

Store managers: you have the title of manager for a reason. If you are not sure what it means, LOOK IT UP!!! District Managers, you young kids are all book trained and never really see what is happening in the stores. Open your eyes and pay attention to the people who are actually doing the work in the stores. Stop playing games.
