I worked at ALDI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-pay ( but after all is said and done its not worth it)

    Cons

    - Disrespect from every level of management, I was in management and I couldn't treat people the way they wanted me to
    - unrealistic goals and expectations that going above and beyond means you still wont hit your goals, this causes a very negative atmosphere
-young district managers, some can be okay but some are naive and believe everything the company tells them regardless of how ridiculous
-even people in the highest positions will disrespect you and treat you like trash if you aren't living and breathing ALDI all the time
-the hours are long, if you get your store the way you want it, you can just work your 50 but upper management will pressure you to always be there
-overall great pay but you will burnout trying to prove yourself to the selfish, disrespectful and just rude upper management

    Advice to Management

Quit!!! so people more qualified can take over and turn this good concept into a successful happy business where people can love their work and feel appreciated for the time and effort they put in

I have been working at ALDI full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits and pay are some of the best in the industry. The opportunity for advancement is there, as there are many training programs for management positions within the company. Employees are given a very high level of responsibility for entry-level positions and are often left to make day-to-day decisions on their own or with little guidance.

    Cons

The company expects a lot out of its employees. In my experience, it is hard to get fired from here once you're in the door. This is unfortunate because it can mean managers that don't know how to do their job but won't get fired because they haven't broken any major policies within the company. Depending on the specific store, promotions to shift manager can be nearly impossible with veteran staff.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the members of the store staff that are ready for management positions and start to really watch which members of management are effective and innovative, not just scraping by.
