Pros

Pay is great.

Benifets are good not exspensive.

Job is easy to learn.

Cons

You can become a store manager and that is it. No more advancement.
No work life balance, schedule is different every week.
You get over whelmed with work and if it is not done get ready to hear about it.
You can work 8-10hrs a day on your feet none stop hard physical labor. Get ready to work on your day off.
Since there is 1 manager and 1 cashier and it comes time to take your break you can not leave the building to get something to eat. You are lucky if your lunch gets uninteruppted.
Lots of injuries to store staff who are overworked and creates shortness of staff.
Working in many different stores for different D.M.S that are all different in the way they do things.
Saftey is not a priority for for the staff as the company want you to hit productivity numbers so the the Manager will work by themselves at times untill 11:00 a.m. Keep in mind the manager can come in as early as 6:00a.m. so you are by yourself for 5 hrs.

Advice to Management

I know productivity is important but the wellness of your staff is much more important. I would rather get paid a couple dollers less and have enough staff to cover each and every store so that each store is not scrambiling for help. Be positive to the staff. Remember with out them the company will not run.

    Pros

Great benefits, used to have free health coverage, but they upped it to $10/month for individual. However, if you get injured on the job, which almost always happens, you have to see workers comp doctors, and the level of care is substandard.

    Cons

It takes a special kind of person. A person who either stands or enjoys brutal amounts of physical pain, who can tolerate a severely high turnover rate, and relies heavily on caffeine to meet speed quotas.

    Advice to Management

Accept that you aspire to be the fast-food of grocery stores and alter your tactics, priorities, and standards accordingly. Your approach and end goal will continue to do nothing more than meet each other in a futile display of destruction.

    Pros

Good pay, benfits. thats it. Well let me think, yep thats it.

    Cons

Advancement is little to none. Productivity is a joke. And they hire kids just out of college to be your dm, with little to no training. If your a store mgr(over paid cashier) your done no more advancement, even if you have a degree. You will be in a wheel chair before you can retire. Money is not everything!!

    Advice to Management

Get a clue, company is going in the toliet. The only reason why sales are up is because the economy sucks!!
