    Advice to Management

Most entry employees work part time - listen to them if they want more hours! I was disappointed to see several sets of new employees hired while I was begging for hours. I was also told that I would be promoted to a blue shirt position by my six month mark due to being such a dependable, hard working employee, but it did not happen. Here's an idea - allow ambition in your employees to learn other areas (loading film reels for example). It can only help your company in the long run to have interchangeable employees.

Many of the higher level managers were children in their teens and early twenties (still in college) who saw anyone wanting to advance as a threat to their job. You would often hear the 20-something managers at the main desks gossiping about other employees in front of their employees and customers. It's a nice experience for just a Summer job, but forget any hopes of making a career out of a place like this.
