I have been working at AMC Entertainment full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, potential to move up and gain a well rounded knowledge of business operations, and of course, free movies.

    Cons

Not enough compensation (this is an all too common topic to hear about amongst the company) for the amount of tasked responsibility; company constantly trying to squeeze more out of employees to cut costs.

    Advice to Management

Corporate should seriously consider putting more money aside to better existing training programs as well as create new ones, make their employees happier with more competitive pay, and not hurt their own image by focusing too heavily on cutting payroll and allowing for service shortfall(s).

I have been working at AMC Entertainment full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a great first job. I've been there going on four years, and I've been a supervisor the last 2. You learn a lot of the basic job skills you'll take with you for the rest of you career- handling cash, guest services, how to work independently, and especially how to work with a team. It's a lot of fun, and scheduling is pretty flexible, so it's definitely a good job for a student.

    Cons

Weekends and holidays off are extremely rare, but they do make you aware of that right from your initial interview.
