Pros

Talented engineers and experts, experience in a niche market, interesting work and a busy environment. For those not in a PM role, flexibility to WFH as needed. Pay was fair for the job, benefits were expensive due to small company size. Offices are ok.

Cons

1.) ZERO training or development. If you don't come in able to sit alone in an office and figure things out without direction, feedback, or training, your are not a fit. 2.) Project Manager title is a misnomer- work is legal assistant/paralegal work. 3.) Culture is unwelcoming to newcomers and even when this is evident, no attempt is made to rectify it.

Pros

- Allows for telework as needed for admin staff; it’s more lenient for experts. - Everyone gets their own office, - Decent benefits - Can have great coworkers

Cons

- Favoritism, especially for hybrid/remote work. Only certain people are allowed to be fully remote while everyone else is expected to come in when they do the exact same job. - Management is very untrusting of employees and vice versa. No transparency or organization and only give negative feedback with no resolution. - Admin staff is constantly thrown under the bus and hard work is not rewarded or appreciated. Admin is also given a heavy workload with little to no help or training. That goes for everyone new at the company though; there is no training structure and you’re expected to just figure it out along the way. - Not many opportunities for raises and advancement. No bonuses given for admin staff. - There’s an unbalanced dynamic between people who have been there for years against newer and younger staff.
