I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Pay. Benefits. Management. Atmosphere. Comradery. Low pressure to meet sales goals. Ongoing training. Benefits. Promotes from within. Flexible with movement. I can tell AT&T really cares about their employees. They put allot into training yes, but also into their employees well being. I personally am checked on more than one time a day by all of my managers on duty nearly every day. Some managers aren't as involved...

    Cons

Work life balance. Almost unrealistic sales goals. (Only one or two people in my store ever reaches them). Not flexible with people who have families. The first few aren't a big deal to me, I can work around them. The last one, however, is very important. I am planning on having a family soon, and can't imagine needing to take off for an emergency with my child. This concerns me, I hope I am wrong. I can also tell...

    Advice to Management

Management is doing a good job. I would just like to see the sales goals readjusted so they are a little easier to attain.

I have been working at AT&T part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

This is a great place to work especially being fresh into sales. The company offers competitive hourly pay starting at 14 an hour plus commission.

    Cons

constantly questioned by management about every transaction and receiving disciplinary actions if you do not follow the particular sales process appointed by management

    Advice to Management

great in store management, terrible upper level management

I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

    Decent benefits- that’s about it

    Cons

HORRIBLE COMPANY! Constant layoffs! Management has also restricted Telecommuting. Employees used to be able to work from home all the time- now it is limited to 4 times a month. Impossible to find workspace at corporate locations- everything is “drop in” and you need to haul all your stuff into the office daily. Long hours and absolutely NO WORK LIFE BALANCE. Management does not care that you have a life outside...

    Advice to Management

IT employees need the flexibility you once gave us. We have ZERO WORK LIFE BALANCE. Over time, the best and brightest WILL LEAVE ATT. My coworkers and I are all just marking time. Waiting for the surplus and package- at which time we will take our talents elsewhere. ATT will be left only with the employees on the right side of the bell curve who are nowhere approaching top Talent if they don’t change the culture...
