Pros

working at at&t is a good gig. They are pretty stable and if you can get in with the right pepole who can protect you, you are golden. Politics are supreme!!!

Cons

Service delivery is crutial and needs some dedication to improvement. Selling is easy, but providing the services that were contracted at the time contracted would be best.

Advice to Management

Listen to you employees. They know what is going on and can give you a LOT of insight to insure long term success and financial rewards.

    Pros

AT&T has good salary and benefits. The people I worked with are open, honest, and helpful. I loved telecommuting.

    Cons

IT Operations is implementing a 'follow the sun' methodology. That means that at least two-thirds of the American jobs are going abroad (Eastern Europe and India). That means there is no future for two-thirds of the current system administrators and database administrators.

    Advice to Management

While management books state that 'follow the sun' is wonderful, what does it do to provide a sense of loyalty to your existing employees from your side? Why should they be loyal? Why should they stay? Additionally, you are having those employees who 'follow the sun' pick trouble tickets out of an automated system. That means that there is already a problem identified. Who is it that works on your information systems to avoid problems and trouble? In your new methodology, that's gone...

    Pros

Great benefits, good pay, coworkers were fun to work with.

    Cons

No professional growth, no opportunities for advancement

    Advice to Management

Treat employees with respect. Sometimes we feel we are being used for company profits only without regard to employee
