I have been working at AT&T as an intern

Pros

You'll hear this over and over again because it's true: "Come for the job, stay for the people." The greatest pro of working at AT&T is the people. People all across the company are friendly, supportive, and encouraging. Take the opportunity to meet with people from different backgrounds or in different roles. They will be more than happy to meet with you, share insight, and connect you to great opportunities. Everyone is on a first-name basis. Employees are innovative and committed to AT&T's success without being internally competitive and cutthroat.

Another pro of AT&T is the opportunity for role mobility within the company. It is regular and encouraged to change roles within the company and say yes to all new opportunities. On the job learning is accepted and diversity of thought is valued.

AT&T is committed to continuous learning. They have an award-winning internal online education platform. Pick a goal role and train for it! There are so many resources to connect you with short term side projects, shadowing, training, and knowledge sharing.

Another pro of working at AT&T is the open collaborative environment. Say goodbye to stuffy cubicles. Open seating arrangements encourage mobility, networking, and collaboration. It is a fun, modern work environment!
AT&T is not just a telecommunications company. AT&T is delivering the future first in technology, media, and telecommunications! Look into all the exciting projects at AT&T's foundries including the connected car.

Cons

No major complaints. Internal change is slower as is expected within a large corporation. When projects are defunded, you will have to be reassigned. Other companies offer more competitive pay than AT&T. No relocation assistance or housing stipend was provided for the internship. There is also no available company parking at the Dallas headquarters for new hires - even employees who have been with the company for years are still on a parking waiting list.
