I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great work/life balance
Ability to own your own products/projects
Great for self-starter attitude

Cons

Beaurocratic - small duties/change implementations takes a long time - almost everything needs to get kicked all the way up to VP level for approval
Not much direction from Senior Mgmt - might be frustrating for those who are not self starters
Large company - need to teach yourself to find your way around to get things done

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Wonderful benefits, effective training programs

    Cons

I began employment in a "man's job" (aka Engineer) back in 1977 as part of the EEO agreement from the Supreme Court of that era. The attitudes of some of my peers had to be adjusted for the change to be effective.

    Advice to Management

Contiue to stress respect and advancement of all employees regardless of gender or ethnicity.
