I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Good pay and great benefits.

Cons

Call center is unionized by the CWA which limits creativity within the staff. This is created an atmosphere where time on the job means more than actual performance.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Dynamic business, Interesting technology, smart people, really good compensation and benefits package, including signing bonus, great support for volunteering efforts and match for charitable contributions, great employee recognition program for all employees, not just sales or other specialized groups

    Cons

    Communication between groups and leaders is not always strong due to silos, some bureaucracy exists despite it being a fast-paced, ever-changing business

    Advice to Management

    Find ways to ensure the company values come alive to employees. Visit remote office locations, Customer Service centers, etc. at least yearly to get to know front-line employees and what's on retail and corporate customers' minds. Stay close to employees and customers, not just device and network technological developments.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good pay, GREAT benefits (when you could use them), co-workers are the best, and we had a union.

    Cons

    Unorganized, cut-throat, rigid rules, zero consideration for employees' lives outside of AT&T and poor communication between departments. Low morale and zero room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate! Be consistent! Show you care! Rethink possible!
