Just like most Corporate America... you have to deal with a lot of bureaucracy, politics, and red tape to get the job done.
Management does not listen to employees.
limited career growth and advancement

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

One of the best things about working for AT&T is the ability to connect to others within the company very easily. A lot of tools are given to employees and it is up to the individual to utilize them to completely satisfy all objectives. It is very rewarding to work for a company that has been around for 100+ years and owns a majority of the nation's telecommunication assets. The company is always evolving and shifting its focus towards innovation. Depending on your location, specifically in retail, the store you work in might be a lower ranked store and gets real micro-manged however; it is crucial to maintain sales up regardless. You determine your path with the company; as eligibility for transfer/promotion is 1 year.

    Cons

Front-facing representatives carry a huge responsibility as they are the face of the company and sometimes hiring decisions can place the wrong person as that representative. In order to succeed true hard work is required and sometimes means working overtime. Keep focus on every metric and juggling different ones can sometimes become challenging always seek answers through internal systems.

    Advice to Management

Continue to seek different ways to generate subscriber base other than phones as it is saturated. Inspire front-facing employees with words of inspiration and wisdom as they deal and matter to your bottom line as well as your managers.
