    I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Amazing job security as the company will never lose revenue as everyone is tied into a 2-year contract. Big company health benefits, so you basically have the Walmart of coverage. 9-5 culture, so 8:50 is early and 5:05 is late. Looks great on your resume as it is a well-known brand. Tuition reimbursement is available.

    Cons

    At the Director level the Executive Compensation Package kicks in and they're not vested until 3 years in, so upper management never rotates in or out; to get fired takes an act of congress. Lots of old, stale ideas.
    Corporate Communications is run by an agency so there are many confusion political battles that take place and the day-to-day work is sacrificed.
    The organization is "self-service"; you will NEVER see your HR person, even on the first day. You're expected to do everything for yourself, no matter how confusing it gets.
    Clunky technology that prohibits work from home at many times.
    Razor thin budgets that in many cases prohibit you from doing what you need in your day-to-day job, including travel.
    Absolutely zero culture.

    Advice to Management

    Alter the executive compensation package to rotate in new ideas.

    Pros

    Lots of opportunity to work in different areas of the business. Company is trying hard to innovate and move quickly.

    Cons

    Hierarchy, red tape, process and structure. Too many hurdles to work through to get anything done.

    Advice to Management

    Need to develop people, give opportunities to grow and move around in the business.
