I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

A very long time ago, but great job with excellent benefits. I really enjoyed my time there, in several different cities. Learned a lot, due to their great training program.

Cons

A whole different company now; I worked there a very long time ago when they were "the Bell system". So I can't really say.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Has presense everywhere and it offers oportunity for advancement in many areas if you find yourself in the right place at the right time

    Cons

Too much hidden discrimination. There are those of the old school that are still in power and block capable people for promotions in favor of Alma Matter buddies and such butts. They also implement disincentives to get rid of experienced people that can contribute with their knowledge in favor of young inexperience agressive employees that have no loyalties to anyone

    Advice to Management

Stop the bleeding of experienced people and place them where they contribute the most. Young graduates are assets for the future, but they will leave you in an instant's notice if they see how you treat your experienced people
