I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Absolutely great people and a company with a very broad set of capabilities. This is truely an upper right hand quadrant company.

Cons

AT&T will protect itself first. Do not trust or be fooled that the open door resources and policies are there for you because they care about you, they dont.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you're in an established, high traffic area, and happen to have a motivated staff, you can make a lot of money.

    Cons

Area manager was a total nightmare. Did not know how to manage managers. Daily conference calls if you missed your metrics the days before. Same explanations by managers every day, same response from area manager every day. Zero support from the company when opening a new location. No marketing, no advertising. Full responsibility for building customer base is on the store. Of course, they don't tell you that in the interview.

    Advice to Management

Look at your area managers and regional managers. Look at the huge turnover in the Long Island market. Half the people I knew at the time are gone now.
