I have been working at AT&T part-time (More than a year)

Pros

AT&T compensates you very well and provides great benefits to employees. The store locations are up kept and provide a feeling of security. Most conduct rules and guidelines are acceptable.

Cons

The entire company is still based on seniority and often ignores requests of new hires. Management is not very attentive to employee concerns.

Advice to Management

Management should take notice of employee concerns and not only focus on their number goals. It is not possible for them to reach their goals without the employees that work for them.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Vision, Dental, and Healthcare, decent pay.

    Cons

Very little advancement opportunities, Interoffice politics -WILL- determine if your one of the lucky few who can. Metrics do not make sense and work against each other. Metrics are measured in a why that the agent has little or no control over most of them but your job will depend on your ability to meet them. Senior Leadership is completely tone deaf. Schedules are entirely inflexible and can change on a dime. You will earn Vacation and PDO time but the center policies are so restrictive you can almost never use it unless you plan out months ahead. Your not allowed to have "Emergencies"

    Advice to Management

Quit talking out of both sides of your mouth. If your going to say that service is our number one priority quit putting policies and metrics in place that work directly against that idea. I'm not saying DON'T measure us. I'm saying measure us in ways we can control and don't punish us for trying to help customers. Give us the ability to take our EARNED time off when we need too!
