I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Time Off--I have over 25 years with the company. 5 weeks vacation plus unlimited sick days
Flexability for Family--ATT goes out of its way to accomadate employees with family issues
really good coworkers--mostly mature and a friendly atmosphere to work in.

Cons

Processes are great--execution of them not so much
very slow to react to underperformers
middle management a little slow on the draw--very conserative and resistant to change

Advice to Management

Let middle managment use a little creativity now and then

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Get to work around people around the latest technology.

    Cons

No focus whatsoever on quality of environment as dictated by the management. Upper management knows there are problems and disregards it favoring manager relationships. Very poor work/life balance. You "bid" on schedule shifts but if an aunt dies or a child gets sick dont expect any sort of help from management. Expect management to try to motivate you by threatening you (holding you accountable is what they will say.) Rather than inspiring you and earning your respect to motivate you.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Best training I've ever been given on a weekly basis in what works when it comes to dealing with the public

    Cons

If you don't have seniority it can really be a hassle

    Advice to Management

Lighten up! I know your sales driven but your sales reps shouldn't be stressed
