No opinion of CEO

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Union benefits and protections. Able to grow with company either with management opportunities or union seniority.

Cons

Big company with big company policies. Seems the processes or hoops you have to jump through are made up by some big wig that has no idea what each department actually does.

Advice to Management

Give better work/life balance

    I worked at AT&T part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

hair loss, weight gain, no time with family,

    Cons

The union states they protect you but they have no real power.

    Advice to Management

Customer service is something you do, not something you say. The numbers you ask your employees is only good for quantity, not quality. There is a balance of the 2 ut they ave no clue.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

At&t is a great company with great benefits after 6 mo, and a great commission structure with a lot of incentives if you are good at sales. Make no mistake this is a sales position, the customer service part is just to get the customers on the phone and then you are expected to make a sale of their U-Verse services on every call. If you are able to sell the required 5 television sales a month it is great. I was considered a top seller and I would sell around 10 tvs a month and make around $1000 in commission, I miss that part.

    Cons

The hours start at 1:15-10:15 but I had friends who after 8 months were on a daylight schedule. You will definitely only get one weekend day off per week at first if that and it's possible your days off could be split. Please do not apply for this position if you are not a die hard sales person. At&t does not care if a customer is on their way to a funeral you are expected to offer a uverse product and sell it. You will get fired for not offering no matter what the circumstance even if the customer is screaming at you. That being said if you can do that sort of thing it's a great job, if you aren't willing to offer on every call do not even apply.
