    I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    -Benefits one full month after hire date -Great pay compared to other call centers -Great employee discounts -Raises 3 times a year -holiday pay

    Cons

    -upset customers-which comes with any company -being just a number to a large company -high call volume

    Advice to Management

    As customer service representatives we were constantly told by the company to "show we cared" for the customers. It was upsetting that when I went through a personal issue, which caused me to miss more than the allowed number of days. Only a portion of my FMLA was approved. I was terminated without a second thought. I understand that large companies have policies in place for a reason but I was a loyal employee and was...

    Pro: getting paid was it

    Cons

    CP training to fill in for union people if they had a strike...constant layoffs...understaffed by 50%

    Advice to Management

    Stop the good ole boy keeping upper management jobs while laying off the people they supposedly managed...get rid of the CEO

    HORRIBLE COMPANY! Constant layoffs! Management has also restricted Telecommuting. Employees used to be able to work from home all the time- now it is limited to 4 times a month. Impossible to find workspace at corporate locations- everything is “drop in” and you need to haul all your stuff into the office daily. Long hours and absolutely NO WORK LIFE BALANCE.     Advice to Management

    IT employees need the flexibility you once gave us. We have ZERO WORK LIFE BALANCE. Over time, the best and brightest WILL LEAVE ATT. My coworkers and I are all just marking time. Waiting for the surplus and package- at which time we will take our talents elsewhere. ATT will be left only with the employees on the right side of the bell curve who are nowhere approaching top Talent if they don’t change the culture...
