I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay is pretty good and so are the benefits. There is a 401k plan.

    Cons

You can't request days off. Hopefully someone will trade with you. They keep taking away our ability to see systems we really need. You get penalized for transferring customers, but they're the ones that pushed one number which goes in circles. This company probably has the worst automated system of any I have ever dealt with. They also have too many overseas employees (because they keep eliminating the jobs here so no job security) They are difficult to understand and pretty much can only follow a script. They can't think outside the box. You are measured on customer surveys yet the customers don't know which employee they're even grading.

    Advice to Management

They need to stop trying to micromanage everybody. They might get better results if they were more positive and not so condescending.

Each rep is different, find what motivates each person on and individual level.
