Negative Outlook
Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at AT&T as a contractor (More than 5 years)

Pros

Very flexible and plenty of support for family activities.

Cons

Empty promises and no room for growth in the company. Management is fairly incompetent. AT&T is far from the great company that it was 20-30 years ago.

    Positive Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They push the envelope and expect all individual contributors and their management talent to innovate, create new systems and processes and improve upon older , more legacy standards

    Cons

Heavy beaurocracy, heave expense-micro-management, not much flexibility to be promoted upward past Director/Sr. Director.

    Advice to Management

You need to reward people better, and not just for loyalty but for the innovations they contribute. To be the best in IT, you need to provide more budget for R&D and hire younger people!
