Pros

Everyone is friendly and willing to help out. The program is structured so that we get exposure to multiple areas of the company.

Cons

Often, there are not significant projects to work on and you end up simply trailing someone for the duration of your time there.

Advice to Management

Overall very positive environment to work

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Compensation and benefits are excellent. Your team members. Career advancement.

    Cons

About 80% of your shifts are 10 hours, there is a high degree of politics when it comes to political advancement, and once you are in the position for 5+ years there is no desire to advance, no motivation to be there other than the pay. I joined AT&T right out of high school and in the beginning it was such an amazing job; the leaders would interact directly with representatives, there were always incentives, your shifts were reasonable, and you had fun. As each year passed the incentives decreased, compensation decreased, expectations raised, the shifts took up your entire day, and sales standards continued to raise.

    Advice to Management

Focus on your front line workforce, in retail the primary reason to sale is because of incentives and corporate has lost focus on that. Also hold your leaders to the same level of accountability as your front line, its astonishing how quickly we had to react but upper management was in the act or could take two months to figure out their responsibilities.
