Senior Management needs to listen to their employee's more often.. They take for granted what is really happening on the front lines.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits package
    Commission compensation (always changing)
    Pay Raises
Union protection for non management employees
Large company with options to grow if you play your cards right

    Cons

    -No work/life balance
-Carroted to work harder and produce more in efforts for promotions that rarely happen
-100% politics, who you know, who likes you and who doesn't
    -Expect to work all holidays
-2 months advanced notice for a day off or vacation

    Advice to Management

Learn your employees and move them to appropriate channels within. Listen to their future goals and network them to the appropriate people. Don't trap employees into their same role for your benefit. Some managers tried, but were not allowed to be successful because of the big guy upstairs.
