I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

The pay is pretty good. Once you start, you realize WHY the pay is good- no one wants to deal with the company! Local leadership is promoted on the Peter principle. Highest performers are held back from promotion opportunities.

Cons

Let me count the ways-
Feedback to management is ignored.
Leadership looks for ways to oust the potential leadership below them.
Metrics are based on measurements that have nothing to do with customer service.
Common sense is a rare commodity above the Team Manager level.

Advice to Management

Leave. Only new leadership from top to bottom will save this government-level catastrophe of stupidity.
