I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

The pay and benefits are good. Depending on what you do, the work environment can be stress free. Company discourages any discriminatory behavior.

Cons

Management does not understand the nature of the business. Employees are evaluated on production rather than performance. This is a company that provides service , not one that manufactures equipment.

Advice to Management

Listen to the people in the field who actually do the work and stop listening to some college kid who has theories of how to effectively manage a work force.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Promotions, health benefits, corporate discounts, a hint of advancement - if you already have a bachelor's degree

    Cons

limited training, no weekends off, 10-12 hour mandatory overtime work daily, was lied to and told it was an 8hr job, working in sub-zero and 80+ degree outdoor conditions, not flexible at all, company could care less about you or your home life, does not care about customer service, so many pissed off customers.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees! You are overworking them for hardly any pay! How about not forcing out your employees with 15+ years at the company?
