Pros

The pay and the benefits are great. I think the company generally acts with integrity. I think they have an honorable code of conduct.

Cons

The training could be better. The workload in my position is heavy and results in providing slow service to many of our customers.

Advice to Management

I would like to see the company negotiate with the union to provide guaranteed job positions in exchange for salary reductions or perfomance based salary.

    Pros

The compensation is great, especially for a job not requiring any post high school education.
    The company offers Tuition Reimbursement.
The company is flexible to part time employees.
Free Cell Phone service with unlimited everything. Plus 2 discounted employee rate plans.
    The job is fairly easy.
The non management employees are protected by the Union (CWA).

    Cons

The compensation plans keep paying employees less.
Employees do not have discounting abilities to make sales anymore.
Income is not consistent, depends on how busy the store is and how well the employee sells.
No commission for handling customer service issues.

    Advice to Management

I feel maximizing sales to too much of the focus. Taking care of the customer should be the number one priority. Nobody likes pushy sales people. Happy customers will spread the word and generate more sales in the long run.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Salary, health insurance, 401K, partial work at home for some management employees (depending on manager and position)

    Cons

Very little advancement opportunity, dissparate management styles due to multiple mergers, dated techniques and management styles, upper management is often afraid to try something unfamiliar, the wrong people are usually let go in mergers and lay-offs (management only looks at their current position and doesn't fully evaluate their past performance or potential in other areas)

    Advice to Management

Develop existing employees - company has bad habit of pigeon-holing people (you've never done this exact title so you must not be able to do it), listen to employees-, learn the new rules of marketing, think outside the box instead of re-using old standby techniques
