I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

Pros

You get to make your own schedule and there is a lot of flexibility. Great benefits with a great vacation package.

Cons

Understanding how you get compensated is hard due to having so many metrics with different weighted pay outs. You have to have good working knowledge on hundreds of different products. Also, it can be hard to distinguish your role to the customer since they see you as a service manager more often then in sales.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay is descent, paid training and uniforms, company vehicle and tools provided.

    Cons

Dangerous working conditions within the city of Detroit since the company and city does not keep up on maintenance of the telephone poles and alley ways. Techs have no back up and company frowns upon giving a tech a 2nd man to watch for trouble. Armed robbery within the city is high but they don't talk about that publicly. Micro management scare tactics.

    Advice to Management

Care more about the people that built your new Uverse brand. And less about your bottom line and quarterly earnings. You have really lost touch with your techs and humanities. People that give there blood sweat and tears. And sacrifice their family time for the growth of your product.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Honestly, the company compensates you for your hard work. If you are younger and are money hungry and can also be self-motivated, this job can suit you well.

    Cons

There may be many times where you don't have a work life balance. You can feel overworked and exhausted. The commission comp plan can change many times, and some times it may seem unfair.

    Advice to Management

Don't become a manager if your heart isn't in it or if you never wanted to be one.
