I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay is the best thing about this job. A collection representative can make 27$ an hour.
You can wear whatever you want with in reason, not too much skin or sloppy.
Off shifting; This may depend on what office you are in but in ours if we are late we can have our hours pushed back and not have it count againts you.
Shifts staring from 7 to 10am.

    Cons

There are a lot of audits, it seems sometimes as if they are looking to get people fired.
    The union can help.
We have to collect on bills that are wrong, that is what I meant by I wish they took care of the customer better. These folks are with reason upset and the bills take months and numerous phone calls to remedy so when they talk to you they are just livid.
Some managers are allowed to micro manage and bully, not all but they there is one manager and by noth doing anything about it I interpret that as allowing it.

    Advice to Management

There isnt much management can do, A lot of the things that are bad are coming from higher up, although the audits are probably only a lever or two up from our direct manager.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Benefits
    Techs look out for each.

    Cons

    No work/life balance.
No schedule you can count on.
Managers are inept and unavailable when you need them for an issue, but then manager says why didn't you call me?
Company treats their employees like garbage.
    VERY demoralizing.
    Impossible numbers game.
Disciplined on matters out of your control.
Training is a joke. There isn't any real life scenarios they can give you in a mock home.
    Micro managed to an EXTREME.

    Advice to Management

Stop putting posts up so you can lure more people into the vacuum you call a career.
Start treating your employees better you will get more out of them if you stopped mistreating them.
