Pros

Flexible work hours- the beauty of having a 40 hour work week and not being allowed to take any work home is great for a work-life balance.

Cons

Poor management- the CEO seems to be particularly out of touch with his employees and their needs. You can tell his bottom line is to make money for himself. HR often doesn't answer your questions or gets the answer wrong due to lack of understanding their own policies. I believe this is the fault of upper management though since their communication skills lack when there are policy changes. Sadly, poor management at the top means poor management at the bottom, due to no good role models in the company. Benefits- they do the best they can for health insurance, but the time off policy is put together poorly and does not benefit employees in any way. 10 days of PTO with no sick days thrown in means you either come to work sick, or give up any sort of vacation. Especially if you have kids who get sick and you have to stay home with them. Building- the main base is falling apart and it seems there is no intention of fixing it anytime soon. Most the the building isn't safe to walk through. Sense of urgency- ATL moves at the speed of nothing. Simple changes put them back at least 3 years. A simple example is the policy of letting employees take time off in hour increments- something that has not been able to be changed due to needing one signature for at least 5 years. Raises- Money is hard to come by at ATL unless you are the CEO. Employees who truly put in hard work and go above and beyond have to often fight for a raise that goes with any cost of living increases. Longevity is not an option at ATL since they refuse to see lower level employees as people who want to work hard to gain savings and improve their station in life. It's saddening to have to see such stinginess with money when employees are being told constantly how well the company is doing. Telling those employees who actually deserve a raise they "should just be happy they have a job" is incredibly rude and demeaning. Communication- there is none. Any policy changes are not told to employees or managers. Most people find out about policy changes through getting reprimanded for not following the new policy they didn't know about. Of the few communications that have been sent out, it is about how the people in upper management have been shifted around and/or promoted- something lower level employees don't benefit from.
