work life balance and you always need to do better no matter what

Advice to Management

Telling the workers they suck all the time is not a good motivator.

    I worked at Aaron's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a paycheck week to week. We got free food on extravaganza weekends. I learned sign language.

    Cons

Compared to other rental companies in the local area we were the lowest paid in all departments. Management only gets everything great when their boss rolls into town.

    Advice to Management

Make the pay at least comparable to other companies in the same industry. I found it insulting that I was paid $2 less an hour that all other competing companies. Even with the "stop pay incentives" I never got anywhere near $10 an hour unless I was delivering games systems or laptops all day which rarely happened. Usually it was living room sets or bedroom sets that I would have to take apart, move, load on the truck, then unload, and set back up again. The "incentive" for all this? $1 extra for all that. Let me know how many moving companies you could hire at $8-$9/hr. because that's basically what we were most days.
