I have been working at Aaron's full-time (More than a year)

Pros

40 hours a week in this horrible economy

Cons

Huge buddy system (more like quid pro quo), no accountability, no integrity, petty and back stabbing. In 2 years I have had 5 death threats from customers and countless instances of them attempting physical force, saying they're going to follow me home after work and kill me, etc. Management's response? "You need to understand that you're not the only bill collector trying to get money from them." I got a concealed carry permit because of this job. Not a very nice feeling knowing you could be attacked at any time for "poverty level" wages or any amount of wages, for that matter. Unless you're a police officer or in the military.

Advice to Management

Reward the people who have proven their value through performance, not the one you like the best. Many times those people are spending so much time making you like them, they don't have time to perform their duties.

    Cons

Long hours and moody customers, the hours pay off though

    I worked at Aaron's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You will always get 40+ hours. Busy environment, great for people who like to stay active.

    Cons

Pay increase is never good, if you get one. Upper management sucks and you hardly ever get a "good job". The hours are 8 or 9 to 9pm sometimes, so you have no time to do anything else. Very demanding, 80% of customers are very rude.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to who works hard and don't base everything solely on numbers because that will make the company lose great employees. The hours are always there but when the pay is not ... then we have no choice than to look for something else.
