You’ll get plenty of face time with managers who are eager to “pick your brain” instead of leading. - Low compensation builds character and humility. This helps you develop creative ways to stretch a paycheck.

- Compensation is well below market standards. You’ll likely be doing the work of multiple roles — for the pay of one. - Leadership is disconnected and directionless. Lots of talk, very little execution. Strategies change frequently, and no one seems to know what the company actually wants to be. - Feedback is welcomed and ignored. Suggestions are often met with polite smiles, then promptly disregarded or not executed upon. Initiative is great, but no one acknowledges it anyways.
