Upper management opportunities are limited unless you're willing to move.

Allow mid/upper management to live in the area in which they work.
Offer a more competitive salary comprable to competitors.

    Pros

Working with great, fun, young people. Fairly good pay when compared to other retail management jobs, good career opportunities for those committed and willing to go above and beyond expectations.

    Cons

There are few opportunities to be creative as almost everything is standardised. Policies go to far to prevent socialising with colleagues (many promotions involve relocation, so re-starting a social life is hard). Working unsociable hours, occasionally with little sleep between shifts.

    Advice to Management

Do more to reward and retain talent as many good managers become demotivated and leave. Performance based bonuses/incentives/small gestures of appreciation would help to motivate staff and increase productivity.

    Pros

It's good for high school students who don't have any expenses and just need a little bit of money to have fun.
    The fragrance can smell good.
The managers are helpful, training is given.

    Cons

    Not enough hours.
You start off at -$150 because of the "uniform" and it takes about 2 weeks to earn it back.
The labor is stressful if you are by nature a hard worker. If you're lazy then it's fine.
Not really recognized for your hard work unless you have a good manger. But corporate never looks at the manager's reviews on the associates unless they think they're stealing.
Oh, there's a lot of shop lifters. So if they don't express enough to you, be ready you'll get a lot of notifications about how to stop shoplifters.

    Advice to Management

The managers are good at their job, very helpful and fun to be friends with outside of the workplace (no longer co-workers).
