I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Fairly easy job. Just greet the customers and keep the store organized.

Cons

Maxium days you would work a week was two and the rest was call ins. Although I know of some people who only worked once every two weeks. I worked at a outlet and they are always hiring. There must have been about 70-80 employees all together. I wish rather than hiring new employees all the time they would give their current employees more hours.

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great looking employees who make the time spent at work fun and great.

    Cons

Too much work, responsibilities for the pay and recognition. The company only promotes great looking people that fit the "positive brand image", and also seems to promote manager who are struggling to higher paying positions to have more supervision on them. Depending on your relationship with your store manager, your schedule will be whatever is better and more convenient for the store manager.

    Advice to Management

look for a better job while you work there.

  2. "Decent camaraderie, under-appreciated"

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

make cool friends, learn a lot about merchandising

    Cons

low pay, only gives raises to 2 people a year, no chance of promotion, judged based on looks

    Advice to Management

Don't take you personal feelings out on associates. Don't show favoritism. Be fair with the distribution of hours. You wouldn't have to hire a bunch of people if you gave the ones you already have decent hours.
