I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great people to work with, always new and exciting things coming through.

Cons

Hours are long, time management from Home Office tends to be bad, you do not get enough hours to do everything they want you to do.

Advice to Management

Find a way to manage time and resources a little bit more efficiently.

    Doesn't Recommend
    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Smart IT people
    - Savvy business users who get e-commerce
    - Your work will be seen by millions of people

    Cons

    - Senior IT management acts interested in suggestions, but real change is rare
    - Super political atmosphere at the management level, no matter what they tell you during the interview
    - Task estimates are ignored in favor of arbitrary deadlines, resulting in rushed delivery and mediocre quality

    Advice to Management

Listen to the experts you hire. They're there to help you build a great product. Your fear of trying new things and lack of real responses to criticisms have stifled innovation and made A&F a pretty uncomfortable place for IT people to work.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job was quite easy to pick up and allowed for flexible hours as shifts were normally 4-6 hours.

    Cons

Management is much more concerned with sales figures and the appearance of the store than providing a positive working environment for its associates.
