I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are some good days and then there are those horrible days. Sometimes its very laid back. Some of the people you work with can make your job worth it. The hours are very flexible and you can easily get someone to cover your shift.

    Cons

The managers have preferences and suck at distributing hours. Models complain so much and they stick this weird idea in their heads that they actually think the are "models". There is no real authority, i have no idea how this company is still running. Everything is supper expensive and we have to pay for our own uniforms every 3 months

    Advice to Management

Keep your stuff together. Why don't you worry about the people running your company and let older people in to work instead of these moronic high school idots who have caca for brains. That is all...

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Awesome campus
    Amazing cafeteria
People are typically young, outgoing and have interesting backstories
You get to wear A&F, Hollister and Gilly Hicks to work everyday. This means shorts when it's warm!
Lots of campus events and after hours get-togethers

    Cons

Long, hard hours (depending on your position, average is probably 53-ish hours a week)
High expectations of quality, sometimes impossibly high
If you don't fit the A&F mold, it is likely that you will feel like an outcast

Truthfully, the HR department here is scary. There really is no typical HR team that you would find at any other company of this magnitude (which is ridiculous, by the way), but instead, we have a a large recruiting team and they are looked at as HR. Recruiting for this company is frightening as it is - just read the other reviews - but the fact that this is the team that sets the standards for the company says a lot about expectations. If you are not impossibly outgoing, full of energy, ready to schmooze and party with your superiors, (and let's face it, being skinny seems to be a requirement), then you're going to have a hard time here. That is the truth of the matter.
